Koulourakia - Greek Sesame Butter Cookies
A traditional Greek sesame cookie built on our Butter Cookie Mix base. Lightly crisp on the outside, tender through the center, with toasted sesame flavor that’s gently sweet, aromatic, and timeless.
Ingredients:
1 cup (111 g) The Butter Cookie Mix
1 large pasture-raised egg
1/3 (75 g) salted butter (or tallow plus a pinch of salt)
1 tablespoon tahini (optional)
Directions:
Cream the butter & tahini if using. Add the egg.
Add the cookie mix. Do not overmix.
Place in the refrigerator for 30 mins.
Drop dough onto a parchment lined cookie sheet. Sprinkle with raw sesame seeds.
Bake 325 12-15 minutes.
Makes 10-12 cookies.
